Unsigned driver in Windows 8.1?

I finally plugged my printer in to Windows 8.1 and find out that no driver is available for download at Canon's website. They just had a number to call for options, which I figured was some kind of trade in deal.

Anyways being determined, I click the windows update button which says it will find more models. My model is listed then and installs fine but it isn't actually a signed driver.

There is a 7 x64 driver that will probably work just fine. Printer is going on 5yrs old (that iP5200R you underlined) can see why Canon has dumped it.

I have a LaserJet 5p that according to Wikipedia is about to be 20 year old technology. It has windows 7 drivers.
