I have a colleague who mainly plays console games, and has a PS2 Controller/USB converter.
Plugging this into an XP PC, and the PS2 Controller is recognised in Control Panel-->Game Controllers. The left analog stick on the PS2 Controller controls the X and Y Axis, and the right analog controller controls the Z Axis.
However, in Unreal Tournament the controller works but the right analog stick does not function. We've tried unticking Mouselook and going through the Unreal Tournament Control/Input menus but no joy. I'm guessing that we need to use the Console and the Axis command somehow?

EDIT: Working now! Preferences command in Console allows access to Raw Key Bindings
