Man, I can't quit playing! I am going through and playing the "tournament" part of the game all over again, so I can see all the levels in there FULL glory. Awesome!

Epic have recently released Direct 3D and OpenGL patches that support DXT1 texture compression and allow you to use the second texture CD.

I just run the game in normal Direct 3D mode and don't bother with large textures. Just make sure you update to the latest 4.36 patch and your framerates will increase quite dramatically.

ya thats what this thread has been about..:).

but by not using the hi rez OpenGL textures your missing a lot of nice scenery...those who have played it this way finding going back to D3D a disapointment

I will never go back to D3D! I am converted, now that I have seen the light. Can't stop playing CTF........:D
