Hey, i'm using a Radeon 64MB DDR with my system and i am running UT at 1024x768x32bit color. When i do a timedemo 1 in the console it brings up my curent average framerate. My curent frame rate floats from 38-45fps. Shouldn't i be getting higher framerates with my system? My system specs are listed below. Also, if not, is there a way to increase fps? Thanks guys.

i'm running a:

450 P3
288MB RAM
20GB WD hard drive
Radeon 64mb
Yamaha 256voice sound card
blah

UT is almost entirely CPU-dependent so you really need a decent speed Duron/Thunderbird/Coppermine to play it well. The older/slower CPUs just don't cut it.

I noticed that UT looks pretty good in 16 bit color (D3D), much better than my previous GF2 looked even when it was in 32 bits. Try dropping the bit depth and see how it looks then. I'm running at 1280x960x16, averaging about 45 fps in the Reverend's Thunder demo (with no other tweaks, except OCing to 183mhz) and better than that in many maps (PIII 733).
