Hi, I have recently installed UT99 again and want to replay this Gem of a game. In my sig you'll see my gamer pc specs.. although for some reason the game is not playing well with the hardware meaning (not responding) type things..

Any playing UT99 still possibly might know whats going on?

Thanks a bunch :)

There's still activity for capture-the-flag, but it's mostly mods like low gravity instagib or sniper only. There are two or three all CTF-Face servers that run regular weapons but with fast movement speeds that are often or normally populated 24/7. Sometimes regular or slightly faster than normal speed servers get populated which play custom CTF maps. There's still Deathmatch games to be found though I don't know much about that.

You can check this link for a list of some regular weapons servers that might sometimes be populated:

That Unreal Argentina server fills up sometimes and they do regular weapons on custom CTF maps. They also play some DM there.

There is also 5v5 regular weapons capture-the-flag PUG match activity organized on IRC, if you know how to use that. You can find it here:

Cool, i'll have to check it out. I still don't think I have the proper driver support in effect yet... still having trouble working out the add in D3D... files etc. Seems a file is missing when I boot it up.. so I've just reverted to Open GL for the time being...

The D3D10 driver page linked briefly mentions the issue, but the main thing you want to be aware of is that UT has issues running above ~200FPS (jittery and you can move faster than normal speed). Newer renderers have a Frame Rate Limit for this - you can set it at 200 and be fine.

There's also newer OpenGL drivers, in addition to the D3D ones:
