It's the version I got on Steam, and from my understanding the Black Edition was the way for Epic to "rename" UT3 to signify the arrival of their 2.0 patch, which also makes a reference to the Titan Pack. If you had the retail version you would eventually get all of that with separate downloads and installs, there's no retail Black Edition, I think, if I'm not mistaken it's only on Steam and D2D, but if there's one retail then it's just UT3 packed with the Titan Pack and already patched to 2.0 (since 2.0 is required for the Titan Pack).

Everytime i log in, I can join a TDM already in progress

Yea I've never had problems finding a game to join. I really like the updates they did but still had no problem with the game prior.

Online play is very much alive. There's usually at least a couple almost full servers to play on.

It's not like it's as active as COD4, but it's not like it needs to be.

The Vipermax servers need to disable that annoying no-tags mutator. I have no idea why they have it on. If they did that, they would all be flawless servers.

there is a ton of people that own UT3 but for some reason there isn't a huge amount of loaded servers out there...and they have bots on most servers and i hate bots.

Kino is a nice choice for a video editor but personally I find Cinelerra to be a bit more powerful video editor. I suppose if you're going for simplicity Kino would probably be better.
