I saw the ad last night in the Phoenix area for a B&M newspaper ad. It may also be online, but I haven't checked.

Some nice prices on Sims as well. If you have more info, please post.

Edit: virtualgames0 posted farther down that the sale is good until Jan 4..:)

Yep, that's a sweet deal. The site is blocked from my work so had to give the wife a call and have her order it!

Thanks!

Just ordered a copy - never played but for $11 I'll give it a try. Interesting, EB has stores in VA, but they didn't charge sales tax - yea :)

Just wondering, I think I heard someone say once UT2k3 is different from other versions. I've been playing UT G.O.T.Y. for a few months and I like it. Is 2k3 the same concept? Thanks (I wonder if I can still order)

Actually, I like GOTY better. I find I have to shoot ahead of people in 2k3. It's the same concept, but maybe it's just more sensitive. There are some features I liked, double jumping, using transporter to travel long distances/cliffs, and the adrelenine pill.

Also there's a game called bombing run, which is the entire reason I got it. (I kicked major on the trial arena, and got beat badly at the other arenas. (Maybe I just liked killing newbs. (Basicly, it's football/rugby. You grab a ball, like a weapon, run to the enemy goal, and either run/shoot it in. (If you run and miss the jump, no score and ball reset.)

No its not, at least not here (correct me if i am wrong):

"When is it coming out? Is it free? Will there be a demo?

UT2004 is currently scheduled for a February 2004 release. UT2004 is a stand-alone retail product, but it's only $39.99 ($10 less than UT2003) and Atari is also offering a $10 rebate to people who already purchased UT2003. Mark Rein has confirmed there will indeed be a UT2004 demo, and that this demo will contain Onslaught mode (but not Assault)."

"What will I need to play it?

Here are the official system requirements, obviously this is for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP. Again, it'll probably ship with Linux executables.
Pentium III or AMD Athlon 733MHz processor (Pentium® or AMD 1.0GHz or greater recommended)
128MB RAM (256MB RAM or greater recommended)
3GB HDD space REQUIRED
8X CD-ROM or DVD
Windows® compatible sound card
DirectX® version 6 compliant video card (32-128MB VRAM recommended)
DirectX® version 9 (included on game disc)
Internet (TCP/IP) and LAN (TCP/IP) play supported. Internet play requires a 33.6 kbps or faster modem (broadband recommended)"

Again, no mention of it being a expansion pack or it requiring UT2003 to function.

I woulda bought into this deal too, but i will wait for UT2004 instead.

UT2004 will be compatible with maps (and other content) made for UT2003, but is a stand-alone installation. I believe UT2004 users will even be able to join UT2003 games. If I didn't already have 2k3, I'd take the deal as a $12 UT2003 bought now still gets me a $10 rebate when 2k4 comes out in a few months.

Of course, I have UT2003 but don't play it - haven't gotten into it; but this is definitely a deal for those interested in 2k3 or 2k4.
