My friend just got a new Presario with a PIII-733 and 64mb of RAM. I'm unsure of the other components, but it looks like everything is on-board (Intel), and it's running WindowsME. We couldn't get Unreal Tournament or Deus Ex to run correctly, but the original Unreal would (software engine). In other words, any recent Unreal-based game gets stuck at the loading screen. Help?

[edit] Direct3D does work. We got BattlezoneII going pretty good.

try updating you video card drivers... :)

also so a friend of mine has a Presario. When it boots it doesn't show the bios info screen (memory check cpu type and speed etc) just flashes a compaq screen and then boots into windows. anyway to check cpu type and speed?
