Spent the rest of tonight getting raped in 1v1s haha.

Haven't played many of the new maps for 1v1s...there's some really good ones.
 

Get on IRC! That's what pre-established clans and other communities have been using since UT99; not Xfire. In North America, come here:

Do you have a server for UT99 also? I might come and join in at some point as I still play a lot.
 
LOL.

I idle on IRC, but Xfire is good for getting ahold of people in a hurry, & can be used in game.

Alt tabbing to read/type in IRC is not ideal at all.

1v1s aren't supposed to be about graphics & looking pretty; they're about gameplay & skill [or lack thereof in my case].

The ones you found me in were user made ones, & they were deliberately made w/o all the normal foliage & crap, to help fps (since most UT3ers don't spend as much on PCs as ATers 😛) & avoid distractions.

There's a PUG channel for UT99 CTF that's also on irc.GameRadius.net. It's VERY active. Come to channel #speedpug -- which is 125 speed regular weapons CTF. Friendly folks.
 
ok, how the hell do you join a server without it being in the list?

i just want to enter an IP address of a server but can't figure out how.
 
Open the console (with the latest patch F10 brings up the console) then type "open 111.222.333.3"

If it's a password protected server then it's "open 111.222.333.3?password=whatever"
