I can't wait till Android finally gets a good set of games on it.
Don't have to wait too long...
OpenFeint Unleashes Wave of games on Android, Fruit Ninja Available Now
Android Central has quick review of Fruit Ninja running on an Evo.

The Unreal 3 demo for the iPhone is free and is called citadel. And, yes this has nothing to do with Android, but while I think a lot of people knew there was an Unreal demo for the iPhone/iPod touch I don't know if it's widely known that it's freely available (instead of just a YouTube video)

I played around with the Citadel demo and, while I think it's a seriously impressive graphics demo, I can't see how it would make a great game on either the iOS or Android OS's because the onscreen controls are hard to use just to navigate the game without anyone shooting at you or anything. Whenever I show it to anyone, they inevitably get tripped up by the controls.
Before I can get excited about any FPS game on a touchscreen device, I think someone needs to come up with a better control system...

Buttons are handy and probably most of the solution to the problem - but even though Android handsets have most buttons and phones with keyboard, Android guys can't get too smug because 4 buttons are still too few and you can't map several of them to the game without losing functionality, and lots of Android phones don't have keyboards. I see it as a problem with both iOS and Android - although the openess of Android helps (I can't see lots of Bluetooth controllers getting approved by Apple... but maybe they'll surprise me).MJinz said:Buttons. They are a gift from heaven.
Buttons would be better, but the citadel demo has the best touch screen controls that I've seen on any game.
Not sure if you noticed, but the virtual dual joy sticks are positioned dynamically. Meaning the joysticks aren't stationary. Every time you touch the screen, the joystick resets back to the center of your thumb. I haven't seen a game implement this as of yet.

I did notice... although it was more like, "that's weird... I swear the joystick/pad thing was over there...". I'm still not sure that I love this feature, although I agree it's unique.
Maybe my friends and I are uncoordinated klutzes but we'd always end up looking up at the sky somehow stuck walking against a wall or something. Perhaps we'd get used to it... but my first time I had a really hard time with it. Even if you love the control system, I don't see how effective it would be if there were real combat involved.
I'm a gamer. I play PC games, and I play a lot of iPhone games - my current favorite is Carcassonne which is simply awesome if you like turn-based strategy (AI is almost too good... the jerk). Anyway, it's not like I don't want good games... but I want the interface to improve the game experience - not get in the way. Meteor Blitz has a similar system (although top-down arcade) and I find the controls for that mostly annoyign too. Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N5_9OMCjL8
I think the Citadel demo looks great... but I wouldn't buy it to play unless I could get some sort of gamepad to connect to it over Bluetooth.
