I have the detonator 40.72 drivers and a 128MB Ti4200 card which is overclocked alot... i get about 12,500 3dmarks on my system and UT2003 runs like crap. 1024x768 even... not good at all. I think there may be a driver issue...

I also have an Athlon XP1800 rig with a 64MB RadeonLE overclocked to regular Radeon speeds (it scores 8,300 3dmarks) and it runs alot better at 1024x768... strange.

I think there is a driver issue, but the Ti4200 card should run UT2003 pretty damn good. I can't wait to get this straightened away!

There's no driver issues for me with UT2003 and I have an almost identical system to yours, I get over 50fps using max settings at 1024x768x32bit and nothing of mine is even overclocked.

How much of a performance increase do you guys think that 128MB gives over 64MB in UT2k3? Also, how about AGP 8x in that game?

Weird guys.....I noticed higher FPS and more stable Ti4200 w/ the 40.72 drivers.....I get around 65-75 avg FPS in UT2k3 with ALL settings on high @ 1024x768x32bit...

Hmmm.....

I run an Ath. XP 1800+ @ 1.74ghz
512mb Corsair XMS DDR PC3k
Albatron Ti4200P Turbo

:)

Dont forget guys, you need more than just a good video card to run this game......The rest of your system has to be pretty beefy too....I'm sure 128mb of (system) ram is gonna be pushing it on this game.....256 would be better, and 512+ the best...

Processor makes a big difference too...

Try o/c'ing your card :)

I have my 4200 running at 285/605....

GL!

my 128MB Ti4200 is @ 315/560
P4 1.8 @ 2.7
512MB Samsung DDR333
detonator 40.72 drivers

Radeon 8500LE 64MB plays UT2K3 alot smoother than my main rig listed above.. it's CPU is an xp1800 stock speed, and 512MB DDR333.
