Unpredictable video signal

When turning on my new computer, monitor behavior is extremely unpredictable. I'm having issues with the display signal, i.e. monitor light will remain orange.

Sometimes monitor will come on after Windows loads, but sometimes the monitor will remain in standby mode (I can hear the Windows startup sound!!) Majority of the time, however, there will be no signal. I can't see the Shuttle splash screen and I won't know if I'm in the BIOS or not. Anyone have similar experiences?

SN25P, AMD3000+
2x1GB Corsair VS
Inno3D 7800GTX
IDE HD & DVD writer
Viewsonic VP201b LCD
PSU default 350W

Is this PSU related? Only thing I can think of, I used a molex splitter to power the 7800GTX and the DVD writer. If I give the 7800GTX its own lead and split the other lead between the HD and DVD writer, will it make a difference?

Other wise, the system is running beautifully!

try not to use so much power on it i would probably let the card have a seperate power cable.

I get this with my Shuttle and 32" LCD. Mine is more so that if you turn the computer on before the screen I have to reboot again for the screen you pick up the signal. I just always turn screen on first. Would this work for you?

What connect type you using DVI or DSUB?

i usually have my screen on all the time, and I'm on DVI.

I'm REALLY hoping this can be solved by giving the 7800GTX its own power lead. Backup plan is to get another splitter and plug in both molex connectors on the supplied dual Molex-PCIe cable. I only have one plugged in at the moment.
