unpaid co-op?

Well guys, I *might* have a paying job. My roommate's girlfriend's dad is apparently a higher-up at some software company, and he might be getting me a job. We'll see....I'll tell the non-paid guy to hold tight for a week, if I don't get this one, I'll take it. Otherwise, I'm golden.

Just because it has to work through the school, doesn't mean that you can't actively pursue one unless your school strictly forbids that.

I've been looking. I called about 60 companies total now.

You guys don't understand one aspect of the coop: when you start coop with a company, you do every term of coop with said company. Its not like internships where you can choose different places. Well, there are circumstances that warrant a change, but they are rare.
Not true here. While you CAN do your co-op at the same company, you don't HAVE to. Not at all.
