'Unmap' script

Is there any way to make a script which unmaps a drive upon login? Roughly 300 computers here have maps to old drives (which were previously scripted to map). However, those drives are now gone, and simply removing them from the map script didn't seem to do it. What lines do I need to unmap a drive?

Servers are running Win2k, clients are running Win2k and WinXP.

Do you know of any way to do this through a script or a Group Policy in Active Directory? That might be a safer way to do it; I have to be careful how this is implemented, because I can't have drive X: deleted on all computers... only on certain ones.
