UNmaking a boot disk out of a flash key

I am using DBAN to wipe the hard drives of an old system we are donating. I finally decided to make a bootable CD-ROM using the ISO version of the software. However, prior to that, I made my flash key bootable using DBAN's software. How do I "undo" this . . .

I'm not really sure how DBAN does it -- it cleans your flash key before putting itself on there.

For some reason, it didn't work initially, but I finally got the thing going and formatted the key. Now I'm as good as new.
