Hi,
I tried to connect the l1 bridges on my 800 using the pencil trick, but when i try to change the multiplier in the bios, it won't even let me try to boot up with the new mupltiplier. Bios says 8.5, but boot up sequence says 8. Did it not work? I have a abit kt7.

When you do the pencil trick ou have to make sure that the bridges are conected properly. It will not operate as expected if some of the bridges are not connected or if some of the bridges are crossed.
 
first check the bridges, if they are all intact and you still can post with over an 8x multiplier, try your multiplier at 9x. for some reason some of the t-birds are not posting at .5 incriments.
