... That's been pretty well known for quite some time.

Edit: Original Thread stated Conroes were all lock multipliers except for the x6800

Uh...

They are locked upwards excepting the X6800, yes.

They are downwards unlocked though.

Intel CPUs do not have their multipliers locked by the motherboard. They are locked in the CPU.

You cannot mod a mobo in any way to unlock higher multipliers on a 6300, 6400, 6600 or 6700, and if you have a mobo that requires a hardware mod to enable LOWER multipliers, then you have a really crappy mobo.

It's nothing personal. But you're wrong. So stop pretending you're right just because someone else says it is true.

You cannot unlock higher multipliers on a Conroe CPU by modding the motherboard. PERIOD.
