Unlocking 720 BE

All gigabyte with southbridge 710/750 should be able to unlocked a working disabled core.

It is rumored that AMD has send a notice to all mobo makers pleading to remove this feature from their bios revisions. Allegably, Gigabyte has refused to comply and is fully supporting the «questionnable» feature. If the rumor hold any thruth, it is very possible that gigabyte will keep the feature alive with futur revision of their bioses.


My board, GA-MA770T-UD3P successfully unlocked a 550BE to quad-core and OCed it to 3.7ghz on air cooling.
 
the 1.5 bios for the MSI 790FX GD790 supports unlocking, but your CPU is what will determine whether or not it can be done.
 
both sb750 boards with the right bios.

Unleash mode on the asus was super easy. Anecdotally I was able to get higher HT link on my asus board with the unlocked 805s and the 710.
