Unlocked iPhone

I have a 2g phone that was initially unlocked with 1.1.4, and I restored it to 2.2 using a "clean custom firmware." Is there an easy way to check if the unlock is still active, without having to swap sim cards?

Thanks.

I believe the unlock is software based so you'll have to jailbreak and unlock again after the upgrade to 2.2.

I didn't upgrade it to 2.2. I restored it to 2.2 with iTunes with presumably a jailbroken and unlocked firmware. I know that it is for sure jailbroken - I have cydia and installer.

I don't think there's a way to check it w/out a sim. Why do you have to check without a sim?

Well, I want to sell my unlocked iPhone on Craigslist, but want to confirm its unlocked before I list it. I only have 1 AT&T SIM card, hence the need to check if its unlocked without a SIM card. Slightly convoluted, yes, but also completely possible. (My friend has a T-Mo SIM I can use)

GoSharks, fire up QuickPwn and use that to unlock it over the top of your restored firmware. If you aren't sure, it won't hurt to unlock it again.
