Unlocked iFone - $159

the resolution on the screen is much lower than the iphone, the built in memory wont even compare (but you get a free 256mb 😉), is this thing itunes compatible? (unlikely).

Reminds of the guy I sat next to that bought an IPOD Nano for $30 in China. We plugged it into my laptop and it had only 32 MB and some strange OS. But everything else looked like an IPOD.

Cheap knockoffs. Made for the markets where iPhone is not available yet. Funny thing is, people still love them.

haha based on whats happening lately it will also give you lead poisoning. and kill you if you happen to be in an impact collision if it is in your pocket.

Well sometimes they end up being fairly good for the money. Not as good as the original, but they're a fraction of the price of the original. I know a buddy who bought a cheap knockoff ipod nano on ebay and he loves it.

So, THIS is the real reason Apple had to drop iPhone prices: They are facing some serious competition and a price war. 🙂

I like the lady on the front of the box! Reminds me of those girly playing cards 🙂

Now that's HOT

at 299 now for the discontinued 4gb i'd get the real deal

At least they don't claim to be the real deal:

> Notice: iFone is the world mark registered by TOMOTO Inc. in Taiwan
> Warning: it will break the law without authorized by TOMOTO Inc. If you use "iFone" logo on any electronic products.

Apple... Tomato... close enough 😀

man i would love to get this. so cheap too. i aleady have a 1gb micro sd (which cost like $10) so memory is no big deal.
good job. Tomato.

i dont care that its not comparable to an iPhone, this has dual sim support! Now i wonder if this is a godo buy if all I wanted was a GSM phone that I can slap my cingular and tmobile sims in and they work. You guys think this is a good deal if you're jus looking for a nice dual sim card enabled phone?

I haven't seen any in depth reviews on the actual phone, but there is a video - here. It looks nice and a cool "gadgety" phone to have. I checked ebay for "dual sim phones" and all the results were this phone. If I were looking for a dual sim phone (unfortunately I'm on verizon), I'd get this phone because it looks cool haha. I just wish there were some reviews on the actual build quality, software, and etc on the phone.

For other dual sim options - CNET.UK

Here's a review, but it's not very detailed. The one important thing about the review is that you can't actually have both sims on at the same time -- You'll have to activate the sim card for it to be in use.
