FREE IS GOOD: RIGHT?

Rochester, NY

WOW I don't even know where to start.
people are sending me Email asking all kinds of questions.
I will try to help each and every one of you, but before I get overwhelmed
I am going to provide some links about O/Cing.
please stop the Email asking these questions and do a liitle research on your own.

what is O/C?-----------Try this link--------------
why O/C?
are there risks if I O/C?----------- I'll give you this one "YES"-------------------
can I O/C My machine?
should I O/C?

when you have an answer to these questions:
Then if you live in Rochester and have decided you wold like to try O/Cing send me an Email and I will
help

Please email if You are interested freeunlock

Why would I do this?

Because I haven't done any O/Cing in a long time and recently read the thread
about the O/Cabilty of the agoia stepping CPU's, I had to build a box for someone.
But that got me thinking so I had an 1600+ agoia core and an K7S5A sitting in a box
that I don't even use so I thought what the heck and bought the stuff to do it.
I was amazed went to 2000xp default voltage.

So I have the stuff to unlock CPU's and I thought I would help out some others in my area
because the stuff costs about $20.00 that kind of negates the gain U get
and there is enough to do about 200 CPU's
I build computers so I will not screw your cpu up.

1st one I did took 20 to 30 min now I can do them in about 8 min start to finish :)

Long live AMD

Thanks for the positive responce. I wondered how this idea would go over,
but allready got a couple of emails from ppl in rochester ny.

If anyone else would like to offer the use of there kit to others just post
and I will add your info to my post so it's easy for ppl to see if someone near
them is willing to help.

Tis the season right

Hey, i'm rochester but I feel that its stealing when you unlock your CPU and "steal" a higher speed CPU. Shame on you!

hahaha...just kidding, I'm just too lazy to overclock :p

Bump for a great offer, this might belong better in FS/FT though.

What are you sharing here?

Are you saying you want us to send you our CPU for you to unlock?

Clarify.

I'm such a jackass...I unlocked my 1600+ and I thought I didn't because I had used crappy old windshield repair crap.

Anyway, it turns out the motherboard just spazzes with the unlock, but will run it anyway =P I found this out after I did the harder unlock using superglue and silver trace stuff. I lost the original silicon grease =( I would have preferred the silicon grease and then silver trace though =P but I lost the stupid silicon grease(and I ran all around town buying it originally lol)

Oh well stoopid me =P

Nice of you!

I have a 1.2 AXIA core that I've bumped up to 1.7 with no prob whatsoever, but I don't notice much difference in my games and such, so I put it back down. heh

yes that's basically the idea but there is something more you need to do on an XP processor. There are actually gaps between the L1 bridges that need filling in before actually closing the L1 bridges. What you need to do is fill those gaps in with some non-conductive substance so that when the bridges are closed they don't get shorted out because the gap's aren't filled in.

Right....
rolleye.gif
what'd you use for cooling and voltage? LN2 and 2.5v? And no "difference in games and such?"
rolleye.gif

All AXIA's I have seen (and I've seen a few) max between 1.35 (default voltage) to 1.42 (1.85v and air) to 1.55 (if you're really lucky AND aggressive).

warmachine, nice offer :)

So all you do is fill in the gaps w/ a non-conductive substance, then connect ALL the L1 bridges with a conductive substance? Is that it?

By the way - i was unlocking with silver curcuit paint (filled the gaps with crazy glue) and it only worked for a week at a time, than it suddenly would not boot at any freq other than stock. B that time I fgured the stable oc rate, so was ready for permanent oc. Which I done with a razor. Not a single problem since then.
