Do you notice anything amiss? I mean, does everything that you think should work, work?

Do you have an X-Fi or some other discrete audio card?

I ask this because if I have mine installed, onboard audio shows as an unknown PCI device in my computer, even when disabled in BIOS.

Often times the unknown PCI device is something from the motherboard that was not installed. Try locating all the drivers for your motherboard and try to see which one it is.

That looks like a cool utility there porcorosso.

Curious... Fishheadwg - what popup options do you get when you right click on the device?

I see that you don't have a "Ports" subgroup in your menu. Do you have any serial/COM or LPT ports? One of my machines uses a PCI card to add these to an otherwise all USB/Firewire machine.
