Unknown device found

I just reinstalled windows98
when ever i boot, it says unknown device is found,
i can't think of what it is, i installed all.
So i go to device manager, yet there is nothing , no Unknown device to install.
It only shows up during boot up.
 
have you checked every item under device manager? I had this message and found that there was an item under something else besides unknown device. then again, it's W98.. haha
