Anyone want to pick me up a couple of these programs and mail them to me? I'd pay for the program, shipping, of course, and maybe a little extra for the person who does it.

All you people that are not UT students that are looking to get a copy....
bare in mind that students are allowed only 1 copy of each program...
Also, giving them to you is illegal...The mods will probably lock this or something. So its best if you cantact those people privately

'Giving' to others is not illegal.
'Selling' to others is illegal.
Interesting differance, at their discretion... ;)

I too am a student. If anyone could pick up a few of these for me and mail them to me, I'd pay for the product, shipping, and a little extra for the trouble, of course. Too bad my college doesn't run these deals. Instead, they just rip us off all the time... :(

:(, I go to UT, but in Dallas; it's only available for the UT Austin. There's a place around Richardson that has same prices for about the same as these, so I will check if they have XP.

It's for the entire UT system. http://www.campuscomputer.com/ has a link for out of town purchase.

actually, each student/faculty/staff has an unlimited license for personal use. the $15 is only the media cost. they're probably limiting them because they don't have many made right now. i've bought multiple copies of stuff from them before cuz i lose/scratch stuff

That isn't anything... if you went to Purdue University it goes for $5 along with the rest of Microsoft's fine product line.

Unbelievable but true.

Actually giving away this media is technically illegal. The license is for current UT students/staff etc. Soif I gave my copy to a non-UT affiliated person, that would be illegal.

In any case, HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!! Speaking of which, I need to go up this weekend to have some fun.

I go to UT too. Only reason we have this deal is because UT Austin signed a deal worth a few million with the devil himself (Bill Gates/Micro$oft) a few years back. Ever since then, we've gotten Micro$oft stuff cheap.

Yup, UT did sign a deal with Microsoft, but hey I think everyone actually wins with this deal. UT students/staff/faculty get Microsoft software for around what they are actually worth, and Microsoft gets access to 50,000+ people who will be using their software. ;) What's this thing bout a monopoly? ;)

Btw, I love being a Student at UT! :D HOOK'EM! :D
