After you graduate from your university do you get to keep your university email address or do they close your account?

It probably depends. Mine was closed and they offered an alumni account that's just a forwarder.

Some universities give you email for life as a cheap way to keep track of alumni. Others cut you for dead as soon as you're no longer paying tuition.

Mine acts as a forwarding address forever. But my email storage space gets shut down one semester after I graduate.

They say it's only valid for about a year after graduating, but it has been active for over 3 years after graduating now.

Depends entirely upon the policy of the school. Most places will delete your account but may not do it until they schedule a cleanup as it's typically a PITA to clear out the accounts, so it could take years.

The one we actually used when we were there stopped working a few months after graduation. They did give us an alumni address that forwards to any email you want.
