ossly enough, my GPA went from ~2.7 to a 3.5 when I went to college. Go figure.

what program did you go into ? What % would a 2.7 be ?

Percentages are what crappy schools in NY use. Everywhere else uses a 4.0 GPA scale. And since NY schools don't teach basic math, I will spell it out for you.

100/4=25
25*2.7=67.5

(I REALLY hate NY schools, I used to live on LI)

You didn't have to spell anything out for me, I just wasn't sure. Thanks anyway. I'm not in new york either, if you were implying that.

UPDATE - Sat down with the prof, he looked it over and was like "yeah I can really raise the grade". Then he went on to say that he wasn't sure if it was A material since he hadn't really sat down with it, so I asked him if he wanted to sit down with it. He said sure I'll let you know what I end up with.

talking to your prof's is key.

I had made a couple stupid mistakes and had a low D because of it, but I had answered a lot of class questions and developed some key points.

I ended up with a C+ only because we both admitted I totally blew off the first 2-3 weeks of the course, he told me if I was a serious student throughout I may have gotten a B.

I also know don't go bragging about grade adjustments after the fact.
