Just saw some stuff on this and while the cinematic trailer looked really cool the screenshots on the website; not so much. Any news/previews on it?

Already got two things going against it.

But I'll play the demo when it comes out.

Just about everything from THQ now has the GFW logo, so any blank statements about that is absurd.

Dear Beta Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the Universe at War: Earth Assault? beta test. Since the beta signups were first posted on July 23, we have received an overwhelming response from the community and fans. We're excited that so many of you want to help us playtest Universe at War and make it the best RTS possible.

We wanted to let you know that we are still processing all the beta applications and putting the finishing touches on the beta build that we will offer up for testing. Because we are still polishing the build and adding last minute updates, we will be unable to make the original August 17 start date for the beta. We're as disappointed as you must be, but we know that taking the extra time with the build will enable us to offer a better experience for all beta testers.

We apologize for the change in the start date, and now anticipate that the new start date for the beta test will be August 29. As a result, the original end date for signups has been extended into next week. By August 27, we will begin emailing the first wave of beta testers that have been selected for the Universe at War beta test. In the meantime, check out the official game site at www.universeatwargame.com for all updates, and good luck to all of you that have applied for the Universe at War beta.

Can't say, last night was wargamming night so I won't be getting around installing till later tonight.

One bummer is that the beta can only be installed on one comp and I play about 65/35 between my two.

Is it good? bad? fun? unfun? I signed up but i guess i wasent good enough :frown:

I need this to be good so i can play something till starcraft II.

haven't been able to install yet.

been on with ebay chat help for the last 2.5 hours trying to get my account fixed after the let someone change my email addy and the account password.

After about 4 and a half hours being pingponged through ebay security chatrooms I've finally had the problem fixed. What a nightmare. Heading to bed now so won't get around to installing till tomorrow

I just played the beta for about 20 minutes, seems kind of crappy so far. Seems like a version of supreme commander without being able to zoom out. Also, everything looks the same, I might play a few more beta MP games, but I doubt that I'll be buying this game.
