hit a timeshare pitch and they'll give you free tickets. :) We did it... 2 hours of nodding our heads but saying no.... and we got in for free... it was our first time sitting in one of those... don't ever plan on doing it again...

You do realize there are two Universal Studios parks right? (four if you count the ones around the world)

Buying a one day pass for the socal one gets you a years pass free.

Pretty good deal considering it pretty much sucks to go there and they have to offer this to actually get people to go.

When are you going?

I have an annual pass, and if I'm there at the gate when you buy the tickets, you can get ~20% off your ticket price.

I live in Daytona Beach - an hour away; so it's not far.

Sweet. We are going down there on the thurs before New Years for the Capital One Bowl. And planning on spending all of Friday at the Universal Studios.

How much would tickets be with a 20% discount?

For the love of god, do not do a timeshare showing deal unless you like to sit and listen to a salesman yap for a couple of hours. Went to Florida this past summer, and got suckered into a timeshare meeting with a nice fella. Basically, they told us we were going to do a survey, then we ended up being bait for timeshare talk. The guy agreed with us (my gf and I, we're both 23) when we told him we didn't know that's what the "survey" was, and he agreed that we didn't need to make decisions if we weren't even married. He then told us about an hour worth of stories (no sh!t, really an hour's worth) about how he has loved his timeshare, and then eventually started into trying to sell it to us. He was so full of inconsistencies in his sales pitch, it was annoying.

I finally told him no about 20 times, as he kept trying to throw more stuff into the deal. He also offered us a free trial year of owning a timeshare, and we could cancel at any time within the year if we didn't like it. Knowing I wasn't going to do it, I humored him a bit and asked to see the paperwork he had. We had to pay so much a month ($100+, can't remember how much now), and then if we didn't like it, we'd get a refund on what we'd paid. So basically I called him out on it not being free if you decided to keep the thing.

I eventually got out of there, and was $75 richer because of it. Would I do it again? For $75, maybe ;).

buy online. we went in the summer and the online tickets were like 20 bucks cheaper. (may not be the same now) but look on their website for the best deals.

Don't waste your goddamn time listening to some git trying to sell timeshare property. Those of you who have done that to save a couple of bucks have no right to complain. Idiots.

Might wanna try and call them... I once bought 2 one-year tickets for like $10 more than a one day ticket because they were only valid until new years eve, and there were only two and a half week left on the calendar year. I went almost everyday.
