Long story short, my cable box's remote is missing and presumed to be in someone else's possession. I am using Comcast digital cable box and the remote that comes with my tv is Sony RM-Y195. I have no idea how to configure it because the guide to the remote is missing and what code to use. Please help, I am using Motorola's non-DVR cable box.

BTW, I didnt know if this belonged in any other forum so OT it is 🙂

How to program your RM-Y195 remote:

Follow these steps to program the remote control.

1. Turn on the component to be programmed.
2. On the remote control, press the CODE SET button.
3. Press the appropriate FUNCTION button for the type of component being programmed.
4. Using the number pad, enter the component's manufacturer code.

NOTE: If more than one code number is listed for the manufacturer, enter one code at a time until you find one that works.
5. Press the ENTER button.
6. Point the remote control at the component.
7. Press the appropriate component POWER button to verify operation.
