Daily stats are updated.

85 out of the 763 current members (104 retired) returned results yesterday, that's 11.1%
The TeAm returned 469 results totalling 99536 points. (#24 of all teams, need to get back in the top 20!!)

With the grid.ord servers being down for a while, that seems to have slowed our pace a bit. The points will start going back up in the next few days hopefully.....
Is there a list of tweaks or settings that we can use to enhance the UD client? I understand about disk space, and have maximized that setting. I have 1 PC that has a wireless connection and the Network score for it is pathetic, in the 40's, dragging down the overall score a bunch......
 
I know what you mean, I have exactly the same problem.. Sometimes I get a score of 70 (max!!) and sometimes just about 40 to 45.. And that with a 2mbit/1mbit connection. Unfortunatly there isn't anything you can do about that. And there is no other tweak known to me for the UD client..
 
wait so the points have something to do with your score in UD? I just thought it depends on how much CPU time is utilized
 
CPU time is combined by the system score to get the points.
Every time you submit a result, the system is being benchmarked again to get a total system score. The higher the score, the more points you get.
There is a good explanation somewhere on the grid.org site, but I don't know where..
 
Well, not exactly a bunch.. Cpu / memory have the greatest impact, HD and network a little less..
But yes, your overall score will go up!
 
You will not notice any difference when changing the HD space it can use. With current projects, HD space isn't important at all, but with a past project it was.
It won't take longer but also it won't take any shorter to complete a WU..
The problem I have with the points system is that when I, for example am burning a DVD or copying loads of files over the network, when UD finishes a WU it benchmarks my system again.
When other programs are using the CPU I can get very low scores! Usually it's around 220, but sometimes I only get 130 or such! I've complained about this severall times, but that won't help..
Were stuck to the points system 😉
 
The points system sucks. Someone should perhaps write a better one. 🙂

anyway, thanks again for the stats site, looks like I'll be moving into #17 in a few days. 😀
