United 93

Well, since it was impossible to make cell phone calls at that altitude I'm going to have to say the version of events in that movie are flawed.

Read the 9/11 Commission report and get back to me.

Oh, the same report manufactured by Bush's spin doctors?

Read this and then get back to me. Making a cell phone call at that altitude is near impossible.

Conspiracy theories don't impress me.

Yes, the Bush administration AND the family members on the other end of the line made up the cell phone calls that were made.

Then you wouldn't be impressed by the government's version of events which is itself a conspiracy theory.

In any event, I'm not talking about conspiracy theories. I'm talking about the simple fact that a cell phone call could not have been made at that altitude.

I've sent text messages with my Verizon phone about 10k feet, and my signal strength was around 4 bars, out of 5. So, yes, I could have easily made a voice call if I wanted to. Flight attendents would have had me turn it off tho.

Yes, the Discovery Channel aired a very well made documentary titled "The Flight that Fought Back".

Classic

That's like telling someone to read a book by L. Ron Hubbard, then get back to them on religion.

We are talking about altitudes above 10K feet.

Yep, I saw it too - incredible stuff. Heck, I don't even think I need to see Flight 93 as this documentary painted a very good picture of what happened.

And Dissipate - Go watch the documentary and then STFU.

Skimming an article makes you an expert on the subject, yeah?

Why ban them? I say we keep them for the entertainment value they provide...

"Bush and Cheney are so evil they consipired with the victims families to testify that they received cell phone calls from the plane!"

An act of God.
People will believe anything that involves government conspiracies.
Sure, the families made up the phone calls too.

The planes were flying exceptionally low to avoid radar detection.

No, we arent.

I wouldn't call people trying to save their own skin heros. I think the people on the plane were simply trying to overpower the hijackers to save their own lives. I don't believe for a second that they were going to try to divert the aircraft from hitting anything. They were just trying to prolong their lives the best way they could.
