Straws are equally stupid I'm not going to suck on some stupid pencil sized cock to get a sip. I drink that shit down the way its meant to be drank and thats another reason to hate ice. You can't drink out of cup the way its meant to be drank out of when ice is in it.

I like ice, but I agree with the straws. It's a stupid wasteful abstraction that adds nothing to the drink.

No idea what that is. To slightly amend my statement, I do like straws with ice slurry, like a 7-11 Slurpee, or other viscous liquids. Is an ice cap an ice slurry kind of thing?

its an iced cappuchino. yeah its slurry like.

you never worked in the heat/construction and thanked god there was still some ice cubes left to suck on or try to suck up for any kinda relief.

Nope just sweat it out I'd rather stay hot than jump around from hot to cold to hot.

I don't get dehydrated I buy a gallon of water in the morning on hot days and drink it down right of the jug all day til its gone.

i'm talking more about being dehydrated..but whatever.
I don't let that happen(*anymore). In the summer, I have a minimum of gallon of water in my cooler.

*I spent some miserable times at work years ago. Too stupid to come prepared, and things didn't always work out for me to get drinks when needed. I have a quart on my pistol belt, and for long journeys from the truck, I carry a 2qt canteen. My lunchbox is a full size cooler, and that has a bunch of water in it too.

I hear what you guys are saying. Just sometimes, things get hectic and there is no time to stop...go go go.

You're faced with a small dilemma when you ask "uniquely American." It's easy to find things that are uniquely American. Far more difficult to find things that anyone anywhere else in the world would like to eat that are uniquely American.

Dan Aykroyd's vodka? Seriously? With a world of great bourbon at your disposal?

BBQ is a god idea. It will certainly last a plane flight. But do you actually have any good BBQ available locally?
