I'm going to be visiting Denver and want to try some unique Denver fare. Budget is below $20, preferably below $10.

Please don't recommend places where entrees are $20+, like ThePrague, The Fort, etc. I'm not looking for fine dining.

1. Rocky Mountain Oysters

i know the owner, its not mexican food its food from new mexico. the hot green chili is hot and i suggest you try the Indian Taco.

buckhorn exchange is very pricy its why ive never been plus im not a exotic meat guy. just give me cow, chicken or pork and im happy.

there is a place here in boulder called The DarkHorse. its near the CU campus and the interior is so bizarre and unique that its worth the trip. the food is pretty good, their mushroom swiss burger is pretty good in my book

Before you go on assuming something that's not true... Coloradans don't eat said "oysters" any more than other people.

Unique eats doesnt necessarily mean good food. Most of the foreign, good and cheap foods are concentrated around federal blvd btw. Make sure you drive, dont walk thru that area.
 
obviously you should go to casa bonita. it's just a given.

i also suggest the white fence farm.

There's not much to it. The texture is more tender than your typical meat, and it doesn't have the striations of the muscle fibers. The taste is very very mild. No pungent aroma or anything. It's not "wet" or "juicy" or anything.
