Uninstalling XP

I got my new 200GB Seagate drive today (7200RPM ATA etc...). Currently, I have an 80GB maxtor HDD in my dell 8300 with XP on it. I plan on uninstalling XP on my current drive so that I can put it on my new seagate instead (obviously whilst setting the new drive to master).

My question being; how can I uninstall windows XP from my current HDD so that I can install it on my seagate?

First, this isn't a highly technical question. The Operating Systems forum is probably a better place to ask.

Second, based on your question I'd strongly recommend finding a knowledgeable friend to come over and help you. Otherwise, you'll just end up with a non-functioning computer.

I honestly wouldn't recommend changing the big drive to the master. Small drive = OS drive, big drive = storage drive.

To you it's not, to him it is.

Nice job policing the forum though.

In any case, the OP will get more helpful responses in the correct forums where the topic fits better, such as Technical Support or General Hardware.

And your helpful contribution to the thread was,

Hmm, I don't seem to find one.

p.s. My intention was to try to steer the OP to a forum where he'd get a better answer than he'd get here. If I sounded a bit short, I'm sorry.
