Not needing Movie Maker and MSN Exploere etc I would like to remove them, but some things don't appear in the Add/Remove box. I know there was a program that would allow this in Windows 98 called 98Lite. Anyone know of anything like this for Windows XP?

Go to C:\Windows\Inf and find file sysoc.inf (might be slightly misspelled).
Open with notepad and replace all words "hide" with "", save, go to add/remove programs they should be there now.

I don't know about movie maker, but the best way to uninstall MSN Explorer is to go to the control panel add remove software control. Then go the XP software section and to a "formal" removal of the MSN Explorer. I am not certain if there is any option for movie maker removal or not.
