UNinstalling Windows

I'm installing a new mobo and want to install windows on a drive separate from the rest of my software. I have 2 drives. Is it possible to uninstall windows from the drive where it resides now, after I've done a fresh install on my other drive? I know that the WD software won't let me reformat a drive that contains a boot partition so....how do I remove Windows from this drive without losing everything else on that drive?

yes, just delete what you don't want after you install windows to the other drive

I don't think WD software will let you format hdd0 at all inside windows or using winpe
you'd have to use the boot disk version
although I wouldn't use wd software to erase the drive unless there's a problem

but in your case simply deleting would work
as long as you don't delete boot files on your root drive

Yes, just delete the folder winnt after you install your new OS in the other drive

You'd be better off trying a repair (over the top - same directory) installation.
