uninstalling win2k

I have win2k on a pentium II which shares the c: drive with win98SE. The first few days everything worked fine but now whenever i try to boot into win2k it diplays "NTDETECT FAILED" and crashes. Now, win98 works fine, and I really don't want win2k anymore at all on the comp. How can I uninstall it without deleting everything on my partition? There seems to be an uninstaller, but it couldn't find my log files for it. What can I do?

you could always reformat the win2k partition, or you can use programs like partition magic. oh perhaps you might try to reinstall win2k and see what the problem is, so far my experience (about 10 different comps with win2k) and i have not had a single problem, and i must say win2k is very very good to me, a lot better than 98.

Having them both on the same partition produces problems. From win98 delete the winnt directory and the Documents and Settings directory and maybe you'll be OK and not have to reinstall win98.
