I got some scene where my monitor blacks out during benchmarking especially during the rain, has anyone got this before?

Tri-X R9 290 1200/1600.
3570k @4.7.

I thought the titan have 6 Gb of Vram?

It's just a reporting error it's mentioned earlier in the thread. :)

Pretty sure I'll have another go later and try to break 3000, The memory can hit somewhere between 1620-1640 but it keeps scaling up with more core voltage.

Nice score, mate... ;)
My memmory is awsome and i can set it to 1650Mhz, but artefacts appear with everything above 1170MHz for the core.
By the way what are your temps and voltage on stock and with such overclocks?
And what is your asics quality? Mine is 82.7.

ASIC is 77.8%

Need +118mV to be completely artifact free @1200. Normally run 1150@ +37mV.

Temps wise with the fan at 55% fixed I was seeing 76 max on the core and 78 on VRM 1.

Are those temps on stock or when the gpu is clocked? And what is your max stock voltage? For example mine is 1.156V. A friend of mine has a tri-x 290 with asics like yours and its voltage is around 1.1V.

1.180V is the max I see running stock. Under load it's more like 1.133-1.411.

Those temps were at the same settings as the Valley run.

Cool. But this is interesting - the max voltage for my friend's gpu is like 1.107 and yours is so high 1.18...

And those are awsome temps for such a clock. With +150mV. mine are the same but with fan profile fixed to 70%.

Well, very soon i will change my 290 with a 780. My GPU memory failed. Unfortunately in the shop i bought my 290 are available only Palit Jetstream 780s. It is a good card, but i don't like Palit. And i will have only 2 years of warranty.

Expect new scores in Valley... :)

2X's Reference Sapphire R9 290X's (Elpida vRAM = CRAP) in Crossfire

13707167714_ceda6230b2_o.jpg

They have re-config'd Flickr again can't find link to 1080 rez PIC right now - FIXED
Score is 4637 with cards running Stock 1000-1250Mhz`s

SCORE was 2615 in Heaven.

OEM Cooler and STOCK Frequency and Voltage
AMD_Catalyst_14.3_Beta_V1.0_Windows_B22_March12 Driver
NOISY and lots of Heat running Valley - I'll be water blocking these and come back with results.

2nd GPU MAX Temp 94C VRM Temp 62C - Throttled down to around to as low as 920Mhz in the 92C Temp Range.

NO point trying to OC these cards until I Water Block

I did attempt a mild 1080 x 1300 with a +0.137 VDDC Off-set TWICE but surprisingly my XFX 850W PSU kicked out - Shish! it's rated at 950Ws. I have a 1050W sitting in the wings.

Well I couldn't resist and did a few OC's with the Reference AMD R9 290X Cards in CF - Note that MAX FPS:

13714278114_af2501328a_o.jpg

The best I could go was 1138-1300-+0.068mv-50%. Anything over them frequencies or +0.068mv off-set the system would Black Screen and Reboot just as Valley was about to Post Results of the Bench. Fans were screaming, temps stayed below 90 and the runs were artifact free at 1170-1350 with +0.075mV offset but just as Valley is about to post results - Wham-O. I stopped the insanity by disabling ULPS and Forcing Constant Voltage thus ending the episode with Frozen Screens and could go no further.

I don't think this XFX 850W has what it takes for OC'g these R9 290X's. I have a XFX 1050W on standby.

Guess I will change out the PSU 1st to see if that's the issue before Water Blocking the Cards. Another issue I have is getting TRIXX to load the Fan Profile onto both cards. MSI AB will do it but unfortunately it only has a +0.100 off-set. Actually you can work them both together just having AB control the Fans and do all your OC'g through TRIXX. You can go beyond +0.100mV with AB using CMD Extensions but it's rather a nuisance.

Just short of a 5000 Score - Not too shabby for Reference AMD R9 290X Cards working together with the same profile.

I'm hoping to see something like a 1250/1500 with around 1.62mV offset for these cards under water for Benching and hopefully around 1230/1500 at +1.32 for gaming. Might even break that 5000 score by a fair bit ;o)

To tell you the truth if I had guessed the Sapphire R9 290X BF4 Editions had Elpida vRam, I would NEVER have bought one another then a Gigabyte R9 290X PCB is notably better.

Under water the Ref Gigabyte (ELPIDA vRam Card) will cruise at 1280/1500 at +0.146mV's and score 3200 in Valley. Perhaps, I will Bench all three separately and keep the best 2 for CF under water.

These used under clocked 2 month old Crypto Mining R9 290x cards on eBay are a steal for $400 today. Elpida or not there're Noisy and Pump Heat like crazy but Tame Under Water.

I got to say these 2 Sapphire Ref R9 290X in CF effortlessly melt through BF4 with a 96Hz 2560x1440p Samsung PLS Display. It makes me itch for 2 more QNIX 2710's ;o(> We are a SICK LOT !

Maybe I need an IB for PCIe3 - Hum! - The Desolation of Smaug and I'm Sméagol (Gollum's lust for his Precious) yes, Yes, YEs, YES - NO, No, no.

Excuse my Linguistics.

GTX 760 2gb@1175/6600 (SLI)
i5-760 2.8ghz oc to 3.6ghz

Lynnfield still holding its own. Going to be interesting to see the difference once I swap in the new mobo and i7-4770K and memory.

Bonus pic. This shows Metro2033 benchmark with almost exact system as my old GTX 560ti SLI. Only difference is PSU and Windows 8.1

for an increase of 18fps of the 760 SLI in that same benchmark.

Well, i am still a little bit confused, because i was using only AMD cards for 2 years(i am not a fan of neither AMD, nor nVidia).
Both are equal for me, except when we are talking about games with physics. And i have no choice for other good(for me) 290, so i decided to change the brands for some time... :)

Yeah, I know you like your windforce coolers ;) Cool man, now it's time to crank her up.
