Comes up as $160 for me.
Think you might be confusing the extra handset for the whole unit.

Note the B&M

as in Brick and Mortar... as in you gotta go to the store itself...... It's priced different online.

This is a good deal, woot was selling refurbished ones at this price. Do you know if expansion handsets were on sale too? I need 2 other handsets, but don't want to shell out another 100 dollars :(:(

If you need two handsets the silver GE for $59 at Walmart is bigger and better quality than the unidens.

I believe that the phones you're talking about are 2.4 GHz phones, which means that they can wreak havoc with your wireless internet connection if you have 802.11b/g. The Uniden 5.8 GHz phones at Costco were $160 last time I looked. I have the 2.4 GHz version, which was $100 and came with 3 handsets when I bought it, but I'm considering taking it back and getting the 5.8 GHz version instead. My wireless connection already sucks badly enough as it is, so it doesn't need help from my phones to make it worse. It didn't even occur to me that they might conflict with each other when I bought them.

802.11a should be fine with either set of phones, since it operates in the 5 Ghz band instead of 2.4 or 5.8 Ghz like the phones do.

I my experience all Uniden 2.4 phones will interfer with wireless networks, only vTech and Panasonic (the better phone makers) 2.4s don't seem to interfer. Now I have this 5.8 and I haven't seen any interference and it's very clear, but the battery charger does not always work properly (even when seated properly). This phone should be 5.8 both ways. I also had last years model and it was probably 5.8 only one way because it never worked right with the wireless network.

Just checked with the store. SKU 563017 is not on sale in So. Calif. Has anyone confirmed this sale?

Not in this week's sale flyer either (though the Minolta 1350W laser printer is $90 AR not bad).

I bought the earlier revision of these phones which worked flawlessly in a concrete apartment block - the quality of the units and the clarity of the signal was excellent. (I paid $79AR from Staples back in Oct 04)

The system was actually bought for my mother but the signal is somewhat variable in her stone built home. If I had used these units in her house initially I would have been disappointed. Why they work flawlessly through concrete and rebar and not through stone and plasterwork I have no idea? Basically the phones work fine in one half of the house but not the other side - you need to turn the phone around to get a clear signal.

I did read comments regarding this trait elsewhere on the internet so be advised that the 5.8Ghz Uniden systems could be perfect or somewhat troublesome in operation according to building structure.

Yeah, when a price ends in .50 cents, it signifies a chain wide clearance. The picture listed on Amazon.com (in my link) is incorrect unless you click on it to enlarge the image.

I can confim this - I bought one off of the Staples clearance table at my local store, but I returned it because I couldn't wall-mount it. Too bad, because I think it is a great deal at $59.50.
