Does anyone remember THIS image that circulated pretty heavily not too long ago? It's a fake, from what I've read -- they don't really get that large. EDIT: I think I spoke too soon. After reading the Snopes article above, it appears the picture is genuine, but I think what I recall reading was that they appear disproportionately large because of the perspective with which the image was acquired. Note how they (there's two of them in that pic) appear almost as long as the Marine's leg behind them when coupled like they are. In reality, they are just much closer to the camera.
