UNFVCKING believable...my car just got stolen.

I live in Sac and none of my friends/family's cars have ever been stolen. Maybe because they remember to lock their doors? 😉 (jk) I'll check on those tires for you. I don't even think any thief has thought about taking my '94 Camry.

elkgrove is a nice area, wonder why it things like that happen.

Again the SI is a target no matter what. Hope SacPD can find it, but most likely its altready chopped up. but i hope they find it.

TGG

I actually feel safer in LA than I do in sacramento.

me too, of course iv lived there all my life, so that might have something to do with it

and dude, did you ever get an alarm? and you should have took off the Si badge. hate to say we told you so 🙁

you seriously need to repaint your car, take off all the badging and get stock dx rims or something.

my advice, get a REALLY LOUD alarm...

No alarm?

Also with that type of car, before going to sleep or leaving it alone for a while, take the Coil ignation wire off. That way even if they have the keys they could not start it.

I'll never forget the time I caught a guy red-handed trying to rip out my stereo in my vehicle back in 89. They had to call an ambulance for him after I was done with him. True story. Got off on assault charges.

2 yrs ago, my Dodge Dakota was stolen and was found 6 weeks later. Never caught the guy. The bastards shot off a fire extinguisher in the inside of the cab before ditching the vehicle. What a mess. The Cops told me some thieves do that to mask their fingerprints.

sorry to hear about your car CTrain, I would highly suggest you buy a set of wheel locks for your next set of rims. They can be purchased for about 40 bucks at any honda dealer, its well worth it IMO.

I think I still have 4 wheels+rims from a '91 Accord. Which area in EG do you live in?

I live like almost on the corner of Big Horn Blv and Franklin.
Big Horn goes from Frankin to Laguna and Franklin also hit Laguna so Big Horn.

That might be the best solution for right now.
I'm gonna head to the yard and check out the car in a bit.

They won't fit. Wrong bolt pattern.

damn, i grew up in elk grove, my parents now live in sac, and i go to school at davis, and we have never had problems with our cars getting broken into. although our cars have always been fords (wouldnt be high on my list of cars i want to steal either). good luck!

A socketone size smaller than the wheel lock and a BFH would take those off pretty quick.

I dont think a socket one size smaller can remove it since the edges are smooth, they look like this

A socket one size smaller bashed onto it with a BFH will work. Been there, done that.

that sucks dude, and from in front of your house even 🙁

im starting to be glad about driveing a sh!tty car, cause noone wants to steal/break into it

shitty cars are stolen more often no ?
since they don't really have to wrry about alarms and what not. Most of the times they're stolen for joy riding.

no one wants to go joy rideing in a ford tempo

I thought the same thing but the people I sold the Tempo I had had it stolen from them, it ended up in Washington State somewhere.

it's still going to be stolen less than a Civic Si from that generation.

dude you definitely need:
A. a bad-azz alarm
B. at least a starter switch hidden somewhere
C. bad-azz wheel locks
D. all of the above

SI's are so easy to steal, all they need is a flat head screw driver.

Oh, yeah, if you do get good wheel locks, try not to leave the wheel lock key in the glove compartment.

Actually, 99% chance it was the same dudes that broke into your car the first time around. They noticed how easy of a score it was, so they either came back for more, or told someone that they know of an easy score.....You really should get some kind of anti-theft system before it happens again.

I did lock it but locking doesn't matter if they can start the car without a key.

I did get the insurance company to get full coverage before I came here but they sent the paper work to my house in Fla and I haven't paid the extra premium yet.
I'm fvck !!

My car is pretty much stripped.
I already told some of my friends back in Fla I'm moving back home.
This is too much for me to handle in 1 month.
I live in a really nice neighbor in Elk Grove too.

-Car broken into first day here
-Got a stalker after not even 2 dates
-Now car is stolen
-All within less than a month in Cali.

Yeah, I'm moving back home unless they find the car and its drive drivable(highly unlikely)

Here's my suggestion: Stay in Cali, sell the car and utilize public transportation. Then, the thieves can kiss your a$$. 😉

From your other post:

A set of spare keys.....glad they didn't find those.
Credit cards in the door compartment......didn't take that.

Why do you leave these in your car?

I usually take my face plate off my deck when I leave the car. I've had my deck stolen twice because I left it there overnight. If you leave it there, you're pretty much asking for it to be stolen.

The safest place is usually the dangerous place. Even though I live in a nice neighborhood, I think thieves would come here first because it's the least expected.

Get a car alarm. Get a steering wheel lock and the other type that locks the brakes. Lock your trunk, in case you store anything in there. Get insurance that covers windows w/o deductable.

Even a cheapo $100 car alarm will protect you, as long as it works. Whenever I park in a bad neighborhood or overnight, I lock it with both club-type locks.
