When do you close (cancel) your Unemployment checks.

a) Soon as you get a new job?

b) Your 1st paycheck?

Your 1st paycheck is a week later by the way.

Don't worry, the state will stop them for you when you either report enough income in a week or don't report at all.

Don't and just keep raking in the dough.

That becomes fraud and the state may choose to chase you.
If you work within the state, they could garnish wages.

i assume if you stop filing or when you reach a certain amount of hours or earn a certain amount of money, they stop it.

Here, every week you have to fill out an online form stating if you worked or anything. I think I can assume once you've reported over a certain amount they will just let you know that it's cancelled.
