Unemployed and bored, what tech certifications should I get?

Get all of the comptia stuff. Easy reading and not too difficult.

Or you could just go get a job.

go to the public library, get some study guides for the comptia certs, read them, take the sample tests, go take the computer tests. you shouldnt need to go take classes for those three certs, they're pretty ground floor.

You ever considered some blue collar work? Be better than sitting at home and you might fall into something that pays well.

I will when I have to, but my wife makes a good amount and I get the occasional freelance gig (which I don't double dip, people who claim unemployment while working under the table piss me off). Right now I think making myself more employable and learning new skills would be more beneficial to my long term stability than blue collar work.

Yeah learning a trade in the blue collar field will definitely hurt your long term stability. :rolleyes: Hows the computer IT field doing?
