unecessary processes?

What processes in msconfig can i get rid of? I game alot and i dont want my cpu and ram being bogged down. I ran msconfig and the only user processes running are my firewall+virus scanner and nvidia stuff. The rest are all MS processes.

Also does changing my GUI to retro instead of XP theme help?

doesn't sound like you have any unnecessary processes 😛

as for the gui, i doubt it will make any difference seeing as you have 2 gigs.

If you go to the classic theme, performance would normally increase. However...you have 2GB of RAM, so...not necessary. In fact; I doubt it'd do anything for you at all.

I'd go with the classic look regardless. The XP look sucks. Of course, thats all personal preference though.

Also, don't even waste your time disabling any services. It won't help performance at all.
