Mini rant with poll.

I'm sick of movie studios releasing extended versions 2-3 months after the first version comes out WITHOUT announcing they are doing it. LOTR did a good job: told people that they were releasing the version Jackson wanted to make at a later date and released a theatrical version right away. I got really ticked off with X-men and X-men 1.5. What is that?! Just another way for them to try and rip off their fans a little more.

So Underworld did the same thing by releasing an extended version of the first movie which had some extra scenes in it. Now Underworld:Evol is out today and the wife wants me to buy it. (aren't you all jealous!) So my question is, am I going to regret buying this movie 2 months from now when they decide to release another extended cut?
 
Does it show the parts of Kate Beckinsale that we couldn't see the first time? If not, then no.

It's coming out for Blue Ray, as it's a Sony (one of it's companies) release/exclusive

No HD DVD version for me! :-( I bought the SD version of it today.

Some people like to watch movies multiple times and are uncomfortable with stealing. Most movies cost about 2-3 rentals, and the convenience of watching it whenever you like. I'll stop buying them when the tech is around where I can get any movie I want on demand in high quality for a decent price.
