Undervolting fans question, taking wires out of molex connector?

So I want to undervolt my fans to 7 volts and found some good tutorials on how to do it, and it sounds pretty easy. I went to do it to one of my fans, but the wires weren't very willing to come out of the molex connector. I could probably just rip at them really hard, but I'd prefer to be more gentle with them. Is there a simple way to get the wires out of the connector so I can move them around? Thanks.

Look down the end of the connector and you will see on each of the 4 pins there is a little bit of metal which is bent outwards which stops the pin sliding out through the plastic. All you need to do is get a very small screwdrivers and carefully bend this bit of metal inwards and the pin will just fall out. To put it back in bend it out again and just push it in, it will give slightly but not enough to NOT catch on the plastic again if you pull the wire.

I hope I explained that well enough for you to understand!

For the male connectors; a brass ballpoint pen refill fits just right to compress the locks. Don't know what fits the female connectors, for them I bent the aluminum tab from a coke can around the brass refill and that seemed to work well but had to be replaced often.

Alright, I've successfully undervolted a fan! :)

Thanks for your help on that.
