Undershirt under dress shirt?

I assume the main purpose of the undershirt is to soak up sweat. Yet sometimes, the only reason you're sweating is because of the undershirt.

If (thin_white_dress_shirt == true)
undershirt == true;
else
manboobies == true;

What colour should the undershirt be? is it ok for the undershirt to show?

I usually try to make the undershirt match the overshirt if at all possible. It has been my impression that you want to accentuate your dress shirt, but it's okay if you can see your dress shirt (say if your collar is unbuttoned).

I hate white dress shirts. When you wear one and have dark skin, you pretty much see through the dress shirt. And then the undershirt doesn't help too much 'cause you can see the entire undershirt plain as day (and then your uncovered arms look silly) 🙁

Different dress shirts have different thread patterns, some are thinner than others and can be seen through more easily. Consider that when you're buying them. The thinly woven white shirts with no undershirt are the absolute worst, though. I laugh at people whenever I see them like this, cause it just looks so ridiculous. It's like they want to show off their nipples.

You could try buying thicker white dress shirts. I have the palest skin in the universe and I understand what you mean. One thin dress hurt I have, if there's no undershirt on underneath its man nipple city.

I in general avoid white dress shirts as well.

OP: I always wear an undershirt to prevent sweaty armpits.

Basically wear the undershirt to give the dress shirt a longer life. The undershirt absorbs sweat and deodrant and whatever else you may put on your body.

Wear the undershirt:

Saves the Dress Shirt.
Helps Dress Shirt move more freely.
White T-shirt appropriate for all color Dress Shirts.
Do not wear V-neck T-shirts with Light color Dress Shirts (v-neck shows through).
