Bush and Rubio destroyed each other and Rubio was left pretty much damaged after Bush and his Super PAC went on a massive offensive against Rubio.

Stop. I just thought that he had a bright political future. That's all. Anything can happen in politics. He may run for governor of Florida in 2018, though.

Great thread! Thanks! Good post!

Short guys lose. Or so it seems.
If he hadn't pissed Donald off so, he might have been the next VP.
Now, it looks like Trump/Christie 2016.
But I wouldn't cross off Trump/Palin 2016 either.

That's my dream ticket . . . to poop on. (Triumph voice.)

Trump/Kasich might make things interesting. Instead of the traditional way, where your Veep running mate is the attack dog while you remain "Presidential," it'd be opposite day.

As much as I disagree with any Tea Party Pooper that rose to power via the GOP Propaganda Machine gone apeshit, I kind'a feel a bit sorry for Rubio.........................not.

Every one of those nutjob Tea Party loons that won their elections based on the incredulous hate and fear campaign against Obama should go by the way of the Dodo.

That being said, I hope the next new crop of freshman Repubs bring back the respect and integrity that the GOP desperately needs for a healthy recovery.

Marco Rubio Drops Out of Presidential Race
After a devastating loss in his home state of Florida, Sen. Marco Rubio drops out of the presidential race.

"While we are on the right side — this year we will not be on the winning side," Rubio said. "While today my campaign is suspended."

Rubio was unable to gain traction in a race dominated by a boisterous and bombastic Donald Trump, who has lead the Republican field for eight months.

"The politics of resentment against other people won't just leave us as a fractured party, they're going to leave us as a fractured nation," Rubio said.

Code:
while (Rubio==Robot) //wtf speech
{
While we were on the right side, we will not be on the winning side.
While today my campaign is suspended.
While the politics of resentment against other people won't just leave us as a fractured party, they're going to leave us as a fractured nation.
While we try to figure out why I keep saying while, while my programmers keep updating my code...
} //end while loop
He's a while and crazy guy!

Honestly I'm more worried about Ted Cruz. He beats or pulls statistically even with Sen. Clinton in national polls while Senator Sanders beats him... yet somehow the establishment democrat party worships at the altar of electability.

I'm crossing my fingers for Trump to get the nomination.

Rubio just damaged his political future by failing to win his home state in the primary. I'm not saying he's politically dead, but this is a big set back for him.

He's young, handsome, fresh, Latino. Yes, he changed his position on immigration, but he could win Florida's delegates, and could give Donald Trump a lot of trouble.

Marco who?

Me too. Anything that exposes how manipulated and corrupt the process of choosing our leaders is a good thing.

That the powerful and influential have the ability to usurp the power of the individual vote via picking who we are able to vote for is one very important fact that needs to be clearly communicated to every person that votes.

This putrid rotten underbelly of the process needs a thorough scrub-down and disinfecting, and Trump and Sanders are just the ones to bring this issue to light.

Deny Trump? I wouldn't. The Dems can easily beat Trump in the general election. Not so much the other more sensible sounding candidates. And they are more dangerous than Trump because they actually believe most of what their own defective minds are telling them.

He really has crappy advisors, or his ego would not let him do the most expediently smart thing to do for his political future, which would have been to drop out. Now he's on record for losing the primary in his home state.

Does not bode well for his governor race chances.

He really is quite the pip squeak, but I could stand him more than I could stand Cruz.

You have conveyed far more than you perhaps intended to, with that description.

I think Trump might win. I'm not the only liberal who will vote for him.

:D :D :D I can totally see him doing that.

Every time I see that deer-in-headlights video of him reaching for his water, I swear I hear a National Geographic narrator talking over it. "Here on our Serengeti wildlife camera we see a young Marco Rubio coming to drink. Let's watch as he cautiously reaches for the water, ever wary for crocodiles lunging out of it or leopards jumping out from behind the camera."

Perfectly good speech as speeches go, but that water break . . .
