UNDERCLOCKED!

And no... I'm not talking about the veteran Anandtech forums member, either.

I'm saying that ANYONE can OVERCLOCK a CPU!

But it takes a real man to UNDERCLOCK ONE!

Needless to say, benchmarks are off the charts.... to the left, though.

I've heard of people doing this for sh!ts & giggles. For example, take a non CTX K6-2 400, drop the FSB to 66 MHz, & drop the multiplier to 2.0.

Can we say K6-2 133?

😀

Oh, it'll boot. But you want to talk about a HANG!!

It hits the desktop and just SITS THERE! But it WILL BOOT!

Yikes!

Hey Windogg...

Any chance you'd be willing to sell that CPU? I would LOVE to have it for testing purposes...

.o(It was worth a shot!)

ROFL! 🙂 That sucks it locks. It would be cool to be able to run WCPUID, and see the actual MHz. What's the next highest you can go after 0? 🙂

That's a pretty freaky picture, btw.. That reflection is eerie .. 😉

Actually, there are quite a few people the last time I checked that are running underclocked CPUs on their I-Openers.

I finally found out what thread that was in the pic you posted of your job Jonny. 😉

I didn't know it was possible for a processor running at 0 mhz to do anything, although I guess it's going a few hz faster then 0.
