Underclock Bus 133->100?

Hi. I was thinking about upgrading my CPU, but I don't have the cash to upgrade my motherboard. Right now I have a Amptron PII-3100. Is it possible to buy a P3-800mhz/133bus CPU and have it run on my board by underclocking the bus? (this way when I can afford a new motherboard I can use the same chip) Thanks for any help you can provide!
 
You could do that, but you'd be running the CPU at 600Mhz rather than 800Mhz... Why not just wait until you have enough money for the complete upgrade, and by then CPU prices will have dropped and you'll be able to get an even better system.. 🙂 (Or you can go with an AMD TBird or Duron system and get a much better overall system for a much lower price! 😉)
